I wrote this a couple weeks ago. I'm gonna get my buddy to put some honky tonk piano on it if he ever makes the time for it. Could use some lyrical tweaking as well. Maybe a second guitar. Another vocal. A shaker egg. We'll see. I got a friggin' dozen verses for the goddam thing. This song is inspired not so much by conspiracies but by the brick walls we run into when trying to discuss them. I love you Alex.

i can't listen to it right now but rest assured, 'twill happen.

Reminds me of a song a friend of mine once wrote as a tribute to Richard Whitely.

"you were an angel sent from heaven"

Indeed.

Nice one FunkBone, it needs the honky tonk tho'. (really GG ? and to what extent does your musical expertise run ?..."Um, I can make the gopichand weep, whack out a good rhythm on a lolly drum and I know a few blues on the harmonica")

Don't mind me biggrin.gif , I'm having one of those days.

I talked to my buddy tonight and the piano is set to go. I'll post the new version soon. Do what you want with it GOAsT (except sell it).

Am I really the only one who thinks Jones is a self aggrandising prick?

And believe me, I know self aggrandising pricks.

Dunno. I guess you can download it from myspace.com/horribleorbit. I put that site up for band songs but the band never records, so I've just been throwing acoustic demos up. Which don't rock like FunkBone.

This is how I picture your internet experience wafflewaitress.

BTW, the coolest thing about Alex Jones is that he isn't afraid to challenge authority. His goal of waking up this country to how we are turning into a fascist police state is pretty damn cool too. Anyone that stands up for their rights the way Alex does has my respect, even if I don't agree with them all the time.

You don't have to agree with everything someone says to respect them and the truth is, Alex Jones, self aggrandising prick or not, is doing more than i'm guessing most of us are to make a difference. it's real easy to criticise from a computer chair.

don't worry wafflewaitress, i know your pain. When i finally managed to get Broadband myself it's on fucking East Ayrshire Council computers and about 3/4 of the sites worth visiting are blocked.

D'you think he is making a positive difference though?

My own feeling is that people like him have done more to ensure that conspiracy theory will be dismissed by the mainstream than any supposed NWO masterminds could've managed in their wettest dreams.
