I just watched Thor. It was alright. I had heard it was supposed to be one of the best ones to come out as of recent, so I think I set my expectations a little too high. The whole romantic element Hollywood has to inject into everything whether it works or not... Why does Thor love some bitch he just met? You know its too fast paced to even show that kind of thing developing. Why does she love him? Oh, he is handsome, tall and muscular and has the powers of a god. Wow, isn't that fucking deep? Like that right there kind of just made me a little cynical about female-to-male attraction in general. It basically boils down to the same stimuli as picking out produce at the grocery store. How romantic.

That's not even what I wanted to talk about though. I went on IMDB and happened across both of the Hulk movies... I think this is significant because if you have seen both films, and if your thinking is anywhere remotely in line with mine, you are left wondering if the second one is supposed to be a sequel or a remake or what the fuck.

It was a remake. Adapted from a script that was written as a sequel. A very fitting explanation. I'm glad I could clear that up for myself. It kind of nagged at me anytime I was reminded of it.

The other thing, the reason it was a remake, was because the first film was supposedly so bad and got all kinds of terrible reviews. I never understood that. I mean it wasn't my favorite or anything but there was nothing there that stood out as significantly negative. I don't remember everything because it has been some time since I have seen it, but I clearly remember having that impression.

Which I have now also resolved... in a way that proves my thinking is once again correct and I am an exceedingly brilliant man. If you're still reading this I highly recommend you check out the review by Jriddle73, (should be the very first one) it is well-written and puts the whole thing in the proper perspective: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0286716/
